# Cushion vaults

Cushion vaults are full automated strategies accessible to everyone

You can access Cushion directly on the main page at cushion.trade

When you deposit into a vault:

* Your funds are pooled with those of other depositors.
* The vault curators allocate this capital to selected assets using underlying DeFi protocols (such as Drift, Jupiter) with autonomous management strategies.
* Performance is shared when you withdraw your funds from the vault or at the vault's end.

The vault closure can be defined by the Cushion team to restart a new one, or if the allocated funds are close to the protected capital. In this case, your funds and performance will be directly sent to your wallet.

#### Deposit, Rebalancing & Withdrawal

Deposits are only possible in a single asset.

Each vault has its own rebalancing timer, triggered every few hours to adapt strategies based on deposits and market conditions.\
Withdraws are subject to a fixed redemption period specific to each vault, typically a few hours. This ensures a clean unwinding of each strategy and helps avoid excessive impact on market liquidity, depending on the withdrawal amount.

#### Vaults details

Each cushion vault have main characteristics:

* **Collateral tokens:** Represent the risky tokens exposed for the strategy
* **Protection floor (%)**: Represent the amount of capital protected by the strategies (with the badest performance, you'll be sure to maintain at least this % of capital secured)
* **Rebalancing:** strategies rebalancing is time based to maintain the best market exposure
