# Capital protected solutions

**Cushion offers capital-protected strategies, giving users full visibility into both the risks and potential performance of the strategies they engage with.**

The protected capital level is defined at the launch of a strategy and increases as the strategy performs.

**For example:**

* User X deposits $100 into a strategy with 60% capital protection.\
  Cushion guarantees that, regardless of market conditions, their portfolio value will not drop below $60.
* As soon as the strategy generates its first dollar of profit, the protection threshold starts increasing.\
  If the portfolio grows to $200, the new protection floor is raised to $120.

This approach allows users to benefit from the potential upside of strategic assets like SOL, while securing a portion of their capital and locking in gains along the way.

Since withdrawals are available at any time, users can choose to exit the strategy whenever they like --or stay until maturity.
